Peru Negro was founded by Ronaldo Campos de la Colina. In the beginning Peru Negro consisted only of 12 people while now they consist of 30 people. Their intention was to preserve the African heritage.For this reason, the government made Peru Negro the cultural ambassadors for Peruvian culture. Sangre de un Don was the first international album made by Peru Negro and was sold in Times Square in Spring 2001.
